Hunger Games

I love to read. It's harder to find time  now with 3 kids, but I at least try to read for a little while before bed every night.  I just finished this book a couple of days ago and could not put it down any spare time I had I spent reading, it was addictive. It's been out for awhile, so I guess I'm a little late to the game  If you were a fan of Twilight I think you would definitely like this book. I already started the second one and it seems just as good.  I saw they are making it into a movie, not till March 2012 so you have some time to read it first.  I always like to read the book before the movie because for one it's usually better and two I can picture the people and places how I think they should look.  Once I see the movie I always picture the actors as the characters and sometimes I don't like who they pick. That reminds me last night when we went to see a movie there was a line four blocks long to meet Draco Malfoy (spelling?) at the theatre. I read the Harry Potter books, lost interest towards the last one, but I couldn't believe people would wait this long to see him and a signed autograph cost $25 which I thought was outrageous. I guess there just isn't anyone I would wait hours to see especially if I then had to pay $25 just to say hi and get an autograph.

  2. I don't think I would ever pay $25 for someone's autograph and wait hours and hours in line. Unless it was my most favorite actor and then I might. But only if I got to hug him too!

  5. The book is about a nation called Panem (formerly North America) it has a Capitol and 12 districts. The Capitol is cruel and keeps the districts in line by hosting the Hunger Games every year. Each year a boy and girl from each district gets chosen to compete on live TV in an arena. The last person alive wins, so basically you have to kill everyone else. The story is from one of the player's pov, Katniss. Definitely worth the read!

  7. I have a friend who loved these books, they are on my list! ...but as a fellow mom of 3 (only 1/3 of which is successfully eliminating bodily wastes in the socially accepted norm) I rarely find time to read- always bouncing off to the next adventure! Happy (Tiggerific) Tuesday!

  10. Following from the What I Love About Me Blog Hop! I'm over at http://waitingforherwings.blogspot.com. Would love a follow back!

This series is one of my all-time favorites! I absolutely LOVED The Hunger Games! The first two books were really good and the third one had kind of mixed reviews--you either loved it or hated it. I cannot wait for the movie to come out!
