That's when I realized...

Last night we had tickets to go see Alkaline Trio (one of my favorite bands) with the Smoking Popes.  Since I was sick and the kids were sick I decided not to go, but we went down there anyways because I wanted to sell our tickets and they were at will call, plus we don't have $75 just to waste.  That's when I knew I am officially getting old when I'd trade in a night to see my favorite band for dinner and sleep.  I've seen them dozens of times, but if you were to tell me 5 years ago I'd stay home because I was sick and would rather sleep I would have called you crazy. Now though being sick and having two sick kids and a baby who still doesn't sleep through the night,  I decided rest was more important, which would have disappointed my 25 year old self.
     I did happen to make one girl from Minneapolis and one boy from Ireland very happy,. The girl was knocking on Alkaline Trio's tour bus door asking if they could get her in when I walked up, so I also got the chance to say hi to the lead singer which I guess is a bonus since I didn't actually see them. After I sold them I did have a moment of regret, but I'm sure the people who bought them would enjoy them more then me. I probably would have counting down the minutes until I could get to bed, which once again brings me to the realization I am getting old:(
